Oasis announce the 25th anniversary reissue of their fourth studio album, Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants, available on limited edition silver vinyl. A pivotal moment in the band’s history, this album marked the beginning of a new era as the first release on Noel and Liam Gallagher’s own label, Big Brother Recordings Ltd. Following the closure of Creation Records, the band embraced a bold evolution in their sound, with Noel Gallagher taking a more experimental approach to songwriting and production. Incorporating drum loops, samples, electric sitar, Mellotron, synthesizers, and backward guitars, the album showcases a modern psychedelic rock influence, representing a significant progression from their earlier Britpop roots. The album debuted at No.1 on the UK Album Charts, selling over 310,000 copies in its first week, and is now certified double platinum in the UK with over 200,000 copies sold in the US. This reissue coincides with the highly anticipated Oasis Live '25 tour, marking a landmark year for the band and their fans.

Splendidly politically incorrect by today’s standards but a bit of fun. Set in Nigeria but I suspect filmed in East a Africa - the fever trees in the wildlife scenes give it away
