Oh Boy Records proudly reissues John Prine's acclaimed album Lost Dogs & Mixed Blessings in a special digital deluxe edition, released on September 12, 2025, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this Grammy-nominated fan favorite. Originally released in 1995, the album follows Prine's Grammy-winning comeback The Missing Years and showcases his lyrical brilliance at a personal and artistic peak. Filled with warmth, wit, and emotional depth, Lost Dogs & Mixed Blessings captures the joy of new love, fatherhood, and creative inspiration. Produced by Howie Epstein of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the album features a stellar lineup including Benmont Tench on piano and guest vocals from Carlene Carter and Marianne Faithfull. From the lighthearted charm of "Ain't Hurtin' Nobody" to the epic narrative of "Lake Marie," a song praised by Bob Dylan as one of his favorites, this album remains one of Prine's most expansive and beloved works.
Widely regarded as one of John Prine's most cherished albums

For orders over €150, your order will be shipped DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid).
Splendidly politically incorrect by today’s standards but a bit of fun. Set in Nigeria but I suspect filmed in East a Africa - the fever trees in the wildlife scenes give it away
