Cat Power, the acclaimed vocalist, songwriter, musician, and producer Chan Marshall, presents her 2022 album "Covers," released on January 14th via Domino Records. This album completes a trilogy of cover-focused works, following "The Covers Record" (2000) and "Jukebox" (2008). Known for her transformative interpretations, Marshall reimagines songs by Frank Ocean, Bob Seger, Lana Del Rey, Jackson Browne, Iggy Pop, The Pogues, Nick Cave, and The Replacements. The album also features a reworked version of her own song "Hate" from "The Greatest" (2006), now retitled "Unhate." Entirely self-produced, "Covers" showcases Marshall's singular artistic vision and deep emotional resonance.
