Blending soul, jazz, blues, folk, and country, 'Remembering Now' is rich with classic Van Morrison themes—spiritual love, self-reflection, and nostalgic homage to his youth in Belfast. The album features the long-awaited official release of 'Down To Joy', a standout track from Kenneth Branagh’s Oscar and BAFTA-winning film 'Belfast'. With radiant opener 'Down to Joy' and resilient closer 'Haven’t Lost My Sense of Wonder', Morrison’s voice, guitar, and saxophone are backed by his trusted band: Richard Dunn (Hammond organ), Stuart McIlroy (piano), Pete Hurley (bass), and Colin Griffin (drums and percussion), who have performed with him since 2019’s 'Three Chords and the Truth'. The album also features lush string arrangements by Fiachra Trench, known for his work with Paul McCartney and Elvis Costello.
