Good things come to those who wait: in 2019, Liam Gallagher returned with his highly anticipated second solo album, Why Me? Why Not., following the massive success of his debut As You Were. The album features the explosive lead single "Shockwave", driven by a powerful riff inspired by The Who and T. Rex, and showcases Liam's signature vocal intensity. Written entirely in collaboration with producers Greg Kurstin and Andrew Wyatt—his trusted collaborators from the first album—the record was recorded in Los Angeles and at RAK Studios in London. Liam aimed to surpass his previous work, stating, "I want the second album to be a step-up because the hardest thing to do is to make something the same, only better."
