Dall'alba della creazione, il Consiglio ha mantenuto l'equilibrio nell'esistenza. A eseguire i suoi ordini sono i Cavalieri, Nephilim (potenti esseri generati dall'unione innaturale di Angeli e Demoni) che si sono impegnati con il Consiglio e hanno ottenuto un immenso potere.
Tuttavia, questo potere ha un costo tragico: ai Cavalieri è stato ordinato di usare la loro nuova forza per spazzare via il resto della loro specie. Ciò che seguì fu una sanguinosa battaglia su Eden dove i Cavalieri, obbedendo alla volontà del Consiglio, annientarono i Nephilim. Ancora scossi dagli eventi sull'Eden, a Guerra e Lotta è stato dato un nuovo incarico: Lucifero, l'enigmatico e ingannevole re dei demoni, ha tramato per sconvolgere l'equilibrio concedendo il potere ai maestri demoni in tutto l'Inferno. Guerra e lotta devono dare la caccia a questi maestri, raccogliere informazioni e, infine, combattere la loro strada attraverso un intricato, cospirazione demoniaca che minaccia di sconvolgere per sempre l'equilibrio e svelare tutta la creazione.
