The Blood on the Altar Mythos Pack is an exciting expansion for the Arkham Horror: The Card Game that takes players on a journey to the mysterious village of Dunwich. This expansion pack was released in 2017 and is the third Mythos Pack in the Dunwich Legacy cycle. It introduces a new chapter in the story for investigators to explore, as they try to uncover the truth behind a series of suspicious disappearances that may be connected to events in Arkham.
To play with the Blood on the Altar Mythos Pack, you'll need a copy of both the core set and the Dunwich Legacy big box expansion. The expansion includes 60 cards, including a full play-set of every new player card it introduces, allowing you to tailor your decks to fit your strategy for the next challenge.
As you investigate the secrets of Dunwich, you'll need to navigate a town filled with danger and intrigue. The townsfolk may not be willing to help you, and you'll need to be on your guard as you search for clues and confront otherworldly dangers that are beyond human comprehension. You'll also need to visit many of the locations featured in H. P. Lovecraft's classic tale, The Dunwich Horror, as you try to uncover the truth behind the mysterious disappearances.
The Blood on the Altar Mythos Pack is designed for 1-4 players, and games typically last between 60-120 minutes. It is recommended for players aged 14 and up. As you explore the mysterious village of Dunwich, you'll need to stay alert and ask the right questions, or risk having everything you've worked for crumble. Are you up for the challenge?
