In this razor-sharp political satire, the Prime Minister attempts a cabinet reshuffle to project an image of action, but no one with any sense wants to join him as the ship appears to be sinking. Enter Nicola Murray MP, a woman so far down the list that Malcolm Tucker, the Prime Minister's chief enforcer, doesn’t even have a file on her. Flattered and bullied into accepting the unwanted Cabinet post of Secretary of State for Social Affairs and Citizenship, Nicola and her team of advisors struggle to achieve anything under Malcolm’s watchful eye. Meanwhile, Nicola’s opposite number, Peter Mannion, and his team sense victory is within their grasp, even if they’re unsure what to do with it. Being in power is a good thing, right?
