This collection captures the rich musical evolution of the era, spanning punk, new wave, reggae, ska, mod, and electronic genres that paved the way for the early 1980s pop revolution. Highlights include The Clash's iconic 'London Calling', The Ramones' punk classics, Iggy Pop, The Jam, and The Boomtown Rats' chart-topping 'Rat Trap'. The Undertones deliver a defining anthem, while Siouxsie And The Banshees begin their influential hit streak. Early breakthroughs from The Cure, Joy Division, Blondie, Squeeze, The Pretenders, and Adam & The Ants showcase the era's creative explosion. Disc 2 opens with The Members' 'The Sound Of The Suburbs', followed by punk energy from The Stranglers, The Ruts, The Runaways, and more.
