The Lost One [Blu-ray]

Peter Lorre directs and stars in this atmospheric noir, inspired by a true story. Initially unpopular, The Lost One has since been recognized as a significant work of post-World War II German cinema.

Plot Summary: Dr. Karl Rothe, working under an alias as a doctor for displaced persons, encounters his former colleague Nowak. Both men are keeping a low profile after their involvement in secret scientific research for the Nazi government. Rothe recounts how his fiancée Inge Hermann sold secrets to the Allies, a story that forms the core of this compelling narrative.
