Spieler können aus einer Vielzahl spielbarer Charaktere wählen, von denen jeder über seine eigene spielverändernde Kraft verfügt, die im Zug des Spielers eingesetzt werden kann. Spieler nutzen diese Kräfte, um eine Reihe von Quests zu bewältigen, die abgeschlossen werden müssen, bevor die Burg zerstört wird. Zu den Quests kann es unter anderem gehören, magische Gegenstände von Feldern auf dem Spielbrett zu holen, einen verfluchten Tempel zu zerstören oder die gesamte Burg in Sicherheit zu teleportieren – und das alles im Kampf gegen die Monsterarmee.
