Nach dem großen Erfolg von „Blackout“ und Tourneen durch Europa, Asien und Amerika gingen die Scorpions im Frühjahr 1983 ins Studio, um mit den Aufnahmen zu „Love At First Sting“ zu beginnen. Das Ziel war von Anfang an, den Erfolg von „Blackout“ zu übertreffen. Das gelang ihnen, denn „Love At First Sting“ wurde das erfolgreichste Album in der langen Karriere der Band und brachte Klassiker wie „Still Loving You“, „Rock You Like A Hurricane“ und „Big City Nights“ hervor, die bis heute deren Höhepunkte sind jedes Scorpions-Konzert.
