KILLER erschien 1971 und war das vierte Studioalbum, das vom Gründungsquintett bestehend aus Sängerin Alice Cooper, Leadgitarrist Glen Buxton, Rhythmusgitarrist/Keyboarder Michael Bruce, Bassist Dennis Dunaway und Schlagzeuger Neal Smith aufgenommen wurde. Bob Ezrin produzierte alle vier Platinalben von Alice Cooper aus den 1970er Jahren, darunter KILLER und SCHOOL'S OUT. KILLER (DELUXE EDITION) stellt eine neu remasterte Version der Originalveröffentlichung vor, die auf Platz 21 der Billboard-Album-Charts landete. Neben den Singles „Under My Wheels“ und „Be My Lover“ enthält die Platte auch „Yeah, Yeah, Yeah“, „Desperado“ und das Prog-Rock-inspirierte Epos „Halo Of Flies“. Das Bonusmaterial enthält alternative Takes für „You Drive Me Nervous“, „Under My Wheels“ und „Dead Babies“. Die Sammlung bietet den Fans außerdem eine unveröffentlichte Live-Aufnahme des Auftritts der Band beim Mar Y Sol Pop Festival in Puerto Rico am 2. April 1972. Die Show wurde einige Monate vor der Rückkehr der Band ins Studio für SCHOOL'S OUT aufgenommen und bietet eine Vorschau auf „Public Animal #9“ vom kommenden Album. Während des Konzerts spielte die Band den Großteil von Killer, darunter „You Drive Me Nervous“, „Under My Wheels“ und „Halo Of Flies“.
