In diesen Liedern berührt Holley in einer ganz eigenen impressionistischen Poesie Black Lives Matter („I'm a Suspect“), Standing Rock („Copying the Rock“) und zeitgenössische amerikanische Politik („I Woke Up in a Fucked- Up America“). Als Geschichtenerzähler der Extraklasse beherrscht er in seinen Liedern eine persönliche und universelle Mythologie, zu der nur wenige Songwriter fähig sind – mir fallen Namen wie Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Joanna Newsom und Gil Scott-Heron ein. MITH wurde über einen Zeitraum von fünf Jahren an Orten wie Porto, Portugal; Cottage Grove, Oregon; New York City und Holleys Wahlheimat Atlanta, Georgia. Diese 10 Songs enthalten Beiträge des kosmischen Musikerkollegen Laraaji, des Jazz-Duos Nelson Patton, des visionären Produzenten Richard Swift, des Saxophonisten Sam Gendel und des Produzenten/Musikers Shahzad Ismaily.
