Die Buffalo Springfield wurden von Neil Young und Stephen Stills gegründet, aber zusätzlich zu ihrer historischen Bedeutung war die Band auch auf eigene Faust erfolgreich. Obwohl sie nur zwei Jahre dauerten, produzierten sie eine Reihe von Hit-Singles und drei Studio-LPs.
