In „Das Damengambit: Das Brettspiel“ können Sie versuchen, Ihre Mitspieler zu überlisten, indem Sie genauso vorausschauend spielen wie sie. Jeder der 2–4 Spieler hat seine eigene Gambitfigur, die sich über das Schachbrett bewegt, und Ihre Züge werden immer drei Züge im Voraus geplant, indem Sie Karten ablegen, auf denen Schachfiguren abgebildet sind. Wer an der Reihe ist, deckt seine erste Karte auf; Bewegen Sie die Gambit-Figur entsprechend der Darstellung auf der Karte und schlagen Sie dabei idealerweise Schachplättchen. Füllen Sie dann Ihre Reihe auf, indem Sie eine dritte Karte in Ihre persönliche Warteschlange legen. Sobald alle Schachsteine erobert wurden, endet das Spiel und wer die meisten Steine gesammelt hat, gewinnt.
