Während die meisten ihrer Reihen aus Nahkampfeinheiten bestehen, die mit Fahrerflucht kämpfen, wissen sie, dass eine Streitmacht, der es an Fernkampfunterstützung mangelt, wie ein Fisch am Haken ist. Als solche rekrutieren sie ihre eigenen Ironborn Reavers, bringen ihnen die Kunst des Bogenschießens bei und machen sie zu Ironborn Bowmen. Diese Bogenschützen sind mit mittelschwerer Rüstung ausgestattet und aufgrund ihrer früheren Nahkampfausbildung sind sie nicht hilflos, wenn Feinde sich ihrer Position nähern.
Mit der Einheitenbox „Ironborn Bowmen“ für das Tabletop-Miniaturenspiel „Das Lied von Eis und Feuer: Tabletop Miniatures“ erhalten Spieler des Hauses Greyjoy eine Fernkampfeinheit zur Unterstützung ihrer anderen Truppen. Sie zeichnen sich dadurch aus, dass sie Feinde von der Flanke aus bekämpfen und sie mit Pfeilen beschießen. Während sie ihre Feinde vernichten, sind es ihre Verbündeten, die in mehrfacher Hinsicht davon profitieren und in der Lage sind, die Beute, die besiegte Feinde zurückgelassen haben, einzusammeln.
