David Byrne announces his highly anticipated new album, Who Is the Sky?, marking his first release since the acclaimed American Utopia. Produced by Grammy-winning producer Kid Harpoon (Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus), the album features 12 songs arranged by the New York-based chamber ensemble Ghost Train Orchestra. The album blends intimate orchestral arrangements with contributions from musical collaborators including St. Vincent, Hayley Williams of Paramore, The Smile's Tom Skinner, and American Utopia percussionist Mauro Refosco. The lead single, "Everybody Laughs," captures Byrne's signature anthropological perspective on human experience, balancing introspective themes with uplifting grooves and melodies. Inspired by Ghost Train Orchestra's tribute to Moondog, Byrne embraced their diverse instrumentation—strings, winds, brass, percussion, guitar, and bass—to create a rich, textured soundscape.
