JJerome87 - The Canyon [Vinyl]

Experience The Canyon, the debut solo album from JJerome87, the solo moniker of the British songwriter, musician, and frontman of the Mercury Prize and Ivor Novello-winning band, alt-J. Recorded in Los Angeles, this collection offers songs that are distinctly alt-J (esque) but infused with a unique Californian, Motown, Blues, and Gospel energy.

Joe Newman (JJerome87) describes this project as more personal and emotionally separate from his work with alt-J, marking the first time he recorded outside of the band's established dynamic with Charlie Andrew. He teamed up with LA producer Carlos De La Gaza, a dedicated group of session musicians, and a trio of female vocalists to craft this distinct sound.

• The solo debut album from JJerome87 (Joe Newman, frontman of alt-J).
• Features production collaboration with LA producer Carlos De La Gaza.
• Incorporates influences spanning Californian sounds, Motown, Blues, and Gospel.
• Recorded outside of the traditional alt-J recording process.

This vinyl release presents the album across two sides, featuring tracks like "Mr. Alligator," "Green Velvet," and "Brush Me Like A Horse." The physical format includes 11 tracks total, split between Side A and Side B.
