Animated musical feature based on the American fashion doll franchise. The film follows Cleo de Nile (voice of Salli Saffioti) and her monster friends as they attend a glamorous gala in Boo York to celebrate the passing of a magical comet. When Cleo's sister Nefera (Wendee Lee) plots to harness the comet's power for her own sinister purposes, the group must race against time to stop her and save the night.

Splendidly politically incorrect by today’s standards but a bit of fun. Set in Nigeria but I suspect filmed in East a Africa - the fever trees in the wildlife scenes give it away
