Michael J. Sheehy delivers his seventh solo album, Don't We Deserve Some Kind Of Love?, marking his first release for the Dimple Discs label after a six-year hiatus. Known for his work as the founder of the mid-'90s cult band Dream City Film Club and frontman of rootsy garage rock act Miraculous Mule, Sheehy explores profound themes of addiction, recovery, forgiveness, love, loss, and the search for identity on this compelling Alternative Rock release.
This album reflects a significant shift in perspective following Sheehy's sobriety in 2012, moving away from material centered on instability and heavy drinking. Recorded over five years while Sheehy was a stay-at-home father working evenings in a Camden bar, the album features contributions from Fiona Brice (violin), Sandy Mill (backing vocals), Ian Burns (drums), and Patrick McCarthy (guitar). The packaging includes sleeve notes by eminent critic Pete Paphides.
Artist Background & SignificanceThis format includes the Audio CD and an accompanying poster. The vinyl version (not this CD) includes an insert.
Specifications SnapshotThis Audio CD weighs 46g and has dimensions of 142x10x125mm.
