Clannad is a multi-award winning Irish group formed in 1970 that pioneered the contemporary Celtic music genre. The band - whose name comes from the Irish word for "family" - originally consisted of siblings Moya, Ciarán and Pól Brennan, along with their twin uncles Noel and Pádraig Duggan. Clannad's atmospheric sound blends traditional Irish music with folk, jazz, pop and rock elements. They gained worldwide fame with their haunting theme song for the TV series 'Harry's Game' and have influenced generations of musicians with their distinctive sound.
