Robert Plant’s Saving Grace is the first album featuring his new band of distinguished players, described by Plant as 'a song book of the lost and found'. Born during lockdown in 'The Shire', where Plant’s usual travels were restricted, this project emerged from deep musical connections formed over six years with a diverse group of musicians. Together—vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown—Plant has crafted a dynamic blend of styles rooted in evocative songcraft and shared experience. The album breathes new life into century-old music, drawing from songs originally performed by Memphis Minnie, Blind Willie Johnson, Low, Moby Grape, and others. Recorded between April 2019 and January 2025 in the Cotswolds and on the Welsh Borders, Saving Grace continues the evolution of Plant’s acclaimed post-Led Zeppelin journey, following previous Nonesuch releases like Carry Fire and lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar.
