The Sound of Neath Beat

At the core of this recording is Webb's distinctive piano language, blending the rhythmic intensity of stride piano with the melodic instincts drawn from Britpop influences. Shaped by the music absorbed growing up in South Wales, Webb's trio work channels the lineage of jazz greats like Oscar Peterson and Duke Ellington, filtered through the songwriting culture exemplified by bands such as Oasis. The resulting music is urgent, melodic, and deeply personal, reflecting a pianist moving forward with clarity and confidence.
