Eliza Carthy MBE, a multi-award-winning artist, has been a prominent figure in English folk music since the early 1990s. Hailing from a renowned musical dynasty, her unique approach is shaped by her upbringing and collaborations with a wide range of traditional and contemporary musicians. She is celebrated for bringing grit, beauty, humor, heartbreak, poetry, and dance to the folk genre for over thirty years.

Frenemies features fifteen tracks, offering over an hour of music. The album explores the perspectives of women in love, addressing societal issues, supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, and embracing a Gen X sensibility. Eliza Carthy co-wrote and co-produced this album with Ben Seal, accompanied by her long-term band.
