These giant beans are ideal for preparing traditional Greek dishes such as Gigantes Plaki, and can also be used in salads, stews, and other hearty recipes. A nutritious and versatile pulse, they offer a rich, creamy texture when cooked.
Preparation Instructions:- Do not eat raw.
- Soak 100g of beans in 500ml of cold water for 12 hours or overnight.
- Drain and rinse thoroughly.
- Place soaked beans in a large saucepan with 500ml water.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 40 minutes until tender but slightly firm.
- Drain, rinse, and use as required.
