Submotion Orchestra - Passed Me By [Vinyl]

Submotion Orchestra returns after an eight-year gap since their last LP, Kites, delivering their long-awaited sixth studio album, Passed Me By. This remarkable record serves as a deeply personal exploration of memory, creativity, and the passage of time, showcasing the band pushing their signature electronic sound into some of the boldest and most emotional territory of their career.

Musical Style and Evolution

The album sees Submotion Orchestra delving deeper into the synth-led, minimalist electronic textures and driving beats first explored on the 'Five Points' EP. They masterfully create hypnotic analogue patterns interwoven with the post-dub spaciousness and celestial effects characteristic of their earliest work. With Ruby Wood's consistently emotional vocals soaring throughout, the tracks navigate effortlessly across various genres and moods, resulting in the widest spectrum of expression found in any Submotion album to date.
