Description
My Second Rodeo is a country album by Todd Snider, pressed on vinyl as a one-disc release. It’s for listeners interested in Snider’s final work and his adventurous take on country music.
Recorded in East Nashville in September and October 2025, the album reshapes country music tropes around stretched-out, swampy grooves and New Orleans-style horns. Snider recorded his vocals and guitar first, leaving his band to follow his lead.
After Snider passed away before the remaining overdubs and additional songs could be completed, his band used his notes, voice memos, emails and demos to finish the recordings. The result is My Second Rodeo, Part 1, a first instalment of the double album he had hoped to make.
