Description
Folded Landscapes is the fourth studio album by Scottish composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Erland Cooper, featuring the Scottish Ensemble. It suits listeners drawn to modern classical and electronic music shaped by storytelling and the natural world.
This chamber string work unfolds across seven movements, combining electronics, poetry, soprano, piano, harpsichord, field recordings and samples to explore climate change, temperature and time. It also features UK Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, activist Greta Thunberg, conservationist Dara McNaulty and visual artist Norman Ackroyd, with natural-world recordings including California wildfires and crashing glaciers.
