Description
EP I. is a release by Brooklyn ambient pop group Cigarettes After Sex, for listeners drawn to hazy, romantic sounds with a noir edge. This reissue of the group’s 2012 EP includes “Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You Baby” and “Dreaming Of You”.
Inspired by The Cocteau Twins, Red House Painters and Mazzy Star, the band became a word-of-mouth phenomenon, building an audience through YouTube and sold-out shows around the world. Their sound pairs a heartbroken crawl with ambient qualities and an androgynous vocal style.
Other songs on the EP include “I’m A Firefighter” and “Starry Eyes”.
