Description
Always... is the 1992 debut album by Dutch band The Gathering, presented here on CD in a jewel case with an 8-page booklet. It suits listeners drawn to atmospheric death/doom, with slow, funereal riffs, brutal vocals and dark keyboard textures.
Founded in 1989, The Gathering began with a death/doom sound before moving towards atmospheric rock and experimental music. This debut captures their early style, influenced by bands such as Celtic Frost.
“In Sickness and Health” is one of the album’s named tracks and was featured on an early Peaceville Records compilation.
