Instructions: Heat olive oil in a pot and sauté onion until golden. Add tomato paste and cook for a minute. Add chopped carrots and potato and cook for a few minutes. Next, add the red lentils and spices (such as Aksoy Himalayan Salt and Black Pepper Powder). Stir well and add water. Bring to a simmer and cook covered for about 20 minutes. Uncover and cook for another 10 minutes until the lentils and vegetables are fully cooked. Blend the soup until smooth and serve with freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Serving Suggestions: Add a sprinkle of freshly chopped parsley/mint or a spoonful of chili oil/butter mixed with Aksoy Turkish Sweet Pepper.

In addition to being fat free and low calorie, red lentils are also a great source of protein for vegetarians and vegans and they are also high in fiber. Lentils are very easy to cook and they're usually ready within 20 to 30 minutes.

Tips for serve lentil soup
before cook, First wash red split lentils (Simply pop them in a sieve under running water)
add a sprinkle of freshly chopped parsley/mint
add a spoonful of chili oil or chili butter (In a small pot, melt a few tablespoons butter or olive oil over medium-low heat and add Aksoy Turkish Sweet Pepper. Stir to combine and set aside.)
