Ram - Against

Nearly seven years after their spiritually charged album The Throne Within, Ram returns with Against, a powerful collection that delves into the experience of being pushed to one's limits and the unyielding spirit of defiance. This album marks a shift towards a more grounded approach, capturing the raw intensity of resistance and the refusal to comply.

The songwriting for Against was a lengthy and organic process, with ideas surfacing over an extended period and some material even dating back to 2006. Despite the varied origins of the tracks, the creative flow remained natural. Ram embraced a more instinctive approach, focusing on crafting shorter, more direct songs. Their guiding principle was to "cut the bullshit," a mindset that permeates the structure and ferocity of the album.
