Starter Car - Afterlight [Vinyl]

Afterlight is the debut album from London-based band Starter Car, for listeners drawn to country-influenced indie. Its songs pair introspective writing with lush harmonies and a warm, nostalgic sound.

Written by songwriter Oisean Burnett, the album explores anxiety, death and drugs alongside moments of hope. Its sound brings together the core band and contributions from fellow South London musicians, including fiddle, banjo and guest vocals.

Standout songs include the opening track “Throwing Down”, the high-energy “Safety Net” and the closing rallying cry “Kicking”.
