Description
This deluxe vinyl release presents a previously unreleased 2014 live-in-studio session by The Amazing Snakeheads, recorded in Amsterdam for the 2 Meter Sessions series. Pressed on Ultra Gold vinyl, it includes session photography, new liner notes and a facsimile postcard tribute.
Emerging from Glasgow’s underground, The Amazing Snakeheads blended garage rock, blues and rockabilly into a dark, visceral sound. Recorded after the release of their debut album Amphetamine Ballads, the session captures the band in an immediate, unfiltered performance and preserves a significant moment in their story.
Led by Dale Barclay, the band perform songs including “Here It Comes Again”, “I’m A Vampire”, “Where Is My Knife?” and “Tiger By The Tail”. The recording has added significance following Barclay’s death in 2018, and the postcard reproduced in this edition was written by his widow, Laura St. Jude.
