Overmono - Pure Devotion

Overmono, the acclaimed electronic duo comprised of brothers Tom and Ed Russell, present their highly anticipated second album, 'Pure Devotion,' via XL Recordings. This ambitious project is a testament to their journey at the forefront of underground electronic music, showcasing a sound built on beautiful imperfections, unexpected machine malfunctions, and fortunate accidents.

Across eleven tracks, Overmono delves into experimental production techniques, incorporating vintage synthesizers from the '70s and '80s, an antique train announcement speaker, and even a crash cymbal baked in the oven. The album is characterized by a powerful sense of intention and physicality, evident in every sonic choice. 'Pure Devotion' also features emotive vocal contributions from British poet John Joseph Holt, close collaborator Kindora, and Ruthven from Paul Institute. This album prioritizes emotion over desensitization and craft over efficiency, embodying a true labor of love.
