Viagra Boys - Cave World [Audio CD]

Stockholm post-punk band Viagra Boys return with their highly anticipated album Cave World, released on July 8th via YEAR0001. Produced by Pelle Gunnerfeldt (The Hives, The Knife) and DJ Haydn, this 12-track album confronts the chaos of modern existence with sharp wit and sonic intensity. Following the critical success of their 2021 album Welfare Jazz—praised by Pitchfork, NPR, GQ, NME, and more—the band re-recorded the entire project from the ground up at Silence Studio in Koppom, refining both sound and message. Inspired by a deep skepticism of human progress, frontman Murphy's lyrical journey questions whether modern society, plagued by mass shootings and science denial, is truly more evolved than our primal ancestors. The result is a bold, incisive commentary on contemporary life, distilled into a powerful post-punk statement.
