Description

Sweet Oblivion is a CD album by Screaming Trees, suited to listeners exploring the band’s 1990s work. This edition includes non-album bonus tracks alongside the original album.

Formed in Ellensburg, Washington, Screaming Trees brought psychedelic elements into a more commercial hard rock sound on this, their second major-label album. Its success was boosted by “Nearly Lost You”, which appeared on the soundtrack to the film Singles.

Other songs highlighted as singles include the introspective “Dollar Bill”, “Shadow Of The Season” and “Butterfly”. Bonus tracks include Van Conner’s vocal performance on “Maybe (Van’s New One)”, the album-session outtake “E.S.K.” and an acoustic version of “Winter Song”.
