Description

Lost Landscapes is a CD of three orchestral works by Swedish composer Anders Hillborg, performed with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. It includes first recordings of Lost Landscapes and Sound Atlas.

Hillborg’s orchestral music explores vivid sound textures, tension and contrasts of light and shadow. Lost Landscapes, premiered in 2020, features Pekka Kuusisto conducting, while Brad Lubman conducts Sound Atlas, a 2019 work shaped by rare instruments and electronic music influences.

The album also features soprano Ida Falk Winland in The Strand Settings, Hillborg’s 2013 work based on texts by Canadian poet Mark Strand, conducted by Pekka Kuusisto.
