Saul Williams - Leap Life [CD]

Leap Life is Saul Williams’ first solo album in over 10 years, released on CD. It’s a return from a leading voice in spoken word and experimental music, for listeners drawn to boundary-crossing sounds.

Carefully sequenced by composer and producer Carlos Niño as an immersive, front-to-back experience, the album moves into electronic and ambient territory while keeping spoken word at its core. Nature recordings, environmental textures and expansive instrumentation shape its sound, with collaborations including Kamasi Washington, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Moor Mother, Gonjasufi and Surya Botofasina.

Named after Williams’ leap year birthday, the album includes “Baobab Constellation”, “Controlled Is Not Controllable” and “Leap Life”.
