John Carpenter - Cathedral [Vinyl]

Experience the chilling narrative of Cathedral, a unique collaboration between legendary director John Carpenter and his wife, producer and editor. This vinyl release serves as the official soundtrack to Carpenter's first original graphic novel, with each track meticulously crafted to correspond with specific sections of the book. Immerse yourself in a world of suspense and dark atmosphere, reminiscent of Carpenter's iconic film scores, but with a heavier, riff-driven edge.

Cathedral plunges listeners into the heart of a terrifying story set in downtown Los Angeles, featuring an abandoned cathedral, a gruesome murder, and a powerful supernatural entity. The music captures the drama, dark atmosphere, and frenetic pacing of a classic heavy metal record, while retaining the eerie, sinister propulsion found in Carpenter's classic film scores like Halloween and The Fog.

This release offers an interactive experience, with liner notes providing prompts for each track, enhancing the connection between the music and the graphic novel. It's the closest fans can get to a new John Carpenter film in years, blending his signature atmospheric horror with a modern, heavier sound.
