Editors - Surface, Echo & Sound [Vinyl]

Editors return with their 8th studio album, Surface, Echo & Sound, marking a significant shift in their creative process. Moving away from the heavily produced sound of their recent work, the band embraced a more natural, collaborative approach reminiscent of their earliest days practicing together in Stafford.

Frontman Tom Smith channeled a stripped-back, acoustic-based methodology for the new material, bringing songs to the band to develop organically. This resulted in a highly productive summer recording session in Gloucestershire, capturing a sound that finds Editors somewhere entirely new.

• This album follows 2022’s EBM, a collaboration with electronic producer Benjamin John Power (Blanck Mass).
• The creation process focused on returning to a natural, in-person band dynamic, contrasting with three previous in-studio projects.
