Basht. - Poor Advice [CD]

Basht.’s Poor Advice is a ten-track concept album on CD for listeners drawn to politically engaged music. It examines the relationship between power and the people affected by it, connecting Ireland’s history with the military-industrial complex of the present.

The album follows the influence of church and state in Ireland, where religious and political authority shaped lives through guilt, silence and obedience. It carries that theme into the present, tracing how moral authority moves through boardrooms and barracks, while conflict, arms sales and grief sustain a cycle of renewed contracts.
