Happy Today marks the third essential album from guitarist/bandleader Jeff Parker’s established ETA IVtet. Recorded live at Lodge Room in Los Angeles on August 20, 2025, this CD captures the group’s signature sound—long-form, minimalist improvisation—expanding confidently into a larger performance space while maintaining a deeply hypnotic effect on the audience.

This release is significant as it is the first time the instantly recognizable sound of Parker and the band—featuring Jay Bellerose (drums), Anna Butterss (bass), and Josh Johnson (saxophone)—has been documented outside of the now-shuttered Highland Park micro-club ETA.
