The Renaissance Albums

The reformation began in 1988 with Alan Gorrie, Onnie McIntyre, and initially Roger Ball. The 11th album, Aftershock (1988), features singles like ‘The Spirit Of Love’ (with Chaka Khan and Ronnie Laws) and ‘Sticky Situation’, produced by John Robie, Dennis Lambert & Alan Gorrie. Following an eight-year hiatus, the 12th album, Soul Tattoo, was recorded in 1996, featuring Klyde Jones on lead vocals for ‘Every Beat Of My Heart’ and Daryl Hall appearing on ‘I Wanna Be Loved’. In 1998, supporting Soul Tattoo, AWB recorded Face To Face live at The Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, featuring new cuts alongside longstanding favorites. This is the first CD reissue of Face To Face.
