Light Conductor - Sequence Three [Vinyl]

Sequence Three is the Montréal group Light Conductor’s third album, following Sequence One in 2019 and completing the band’s opening trilogy. Its longform, slow-burning synth and drone pieces are suited to listeners drawn to expansive, minimalist electronic music.

Co-founded by Stephen Ramsay of Young Galaxy and Jace Lasek of The Besnard Lakes, Light Conductor builds its sound from restored vintage synthesisers and analogue electronic equipment. The album combines sparse beats, hazy noise and languorous melodies, with a darker undercurrent.

This final instalment consolidates the group’s signature approach across a set of minimalist, richly textured tracks. The Deluxe 180g LP includes a 12 x 24-inch art poster, and its geometric cover artwork forms part of a visual series with the trilogy’s earlier releases.
