Description

Murmurs brings together Martin Simpson, Andy Cutting and Nancy Kerr for an album of traditional songs and original compositions. This Deluxe Edition includes a DVD with a making-of film and extra tracks.

Recorded live in a remote Welsh studio, the album has a loose ecological theme and centres on the interplay of three folk musicians. Its material includes the traditional songs “Fair Rosamund” and “Plains of Waterloo”, alongside original compositions “Dark Swift” and “Not Even The Ground”.

Martin Simpson is a singer, songwriter and guitarist; Andy Cutting is a diatonic accordion player and tune writer; and Nancy Kerr is a singer and multi-instrumentalist. Together, they bring their varied musical experience to an album shaped by the joy of playing and singing together.
