Chet Baker - Late Night Jazz [Limited Edition 2LP Vinyl]

This limited-edition 2LP set presents a 1988 Chet Baker quartet studio performance, transferred from the original tape reels and pressed on 180g virgin vinyl. It’s a release for listeners seeking a late-period Baker session, with three alternate takes and a 12-page booklet featuring previously unpublished session photos.

Recorded in Paris on 17 and 18 February 1988, the session features Baker on trumpet, with Philip Catherine on guitar, Egil Kapstad on piano and Terje Venaas on bass. Originally released on Norway’s Hot Club Records and long out of print, this historic session appears on vinyl for the first time worldwide.

The set includes three alternate takes absent from the original release, and Baker also sings on ‘How High The Moon’. The gatefold sleeve includes essays by original producer Jon Larsen and music writer Brian Morton.
