Description

Last Date is a live jazz album by Eric Dolphy, presented in a six-panel digipak with a booklet, updated liner notes and a bonus track. Recorded in Hilversum in 1964 with an all-Dutch trio including pianist Misha Mengelberg, it was Dolphy’s final recording date.

Released in early 1965, the album captures Dolphy shortly after he settled in Paris following a tour with Charles Mingus. He died in Berlin later that year, aged 36.

Dolphy is also remembered for his work with John Coltrane, Charles Mingus and Booker Little.
