Third studio album by the English virtual band Gorillaz. Produced primarily by the group's co-creator Damon Albarn, the album blends pop, trip hop, electropop, alternative rock, and hip hop, featuring collaborations with Mos Def, Snoop Dogg, Bobby Womack, Gruff Rhys, Mark E. Set on a floating trash island at Point Nemo in the South Pacific, the concept of Plastic Beach unfolds the evolving story of 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs. Murdoc takes control of the group’s new base, holding 2D captive while a cyborg version of Noodle—built from the DNA of the original guitarist—guards the operation. Russel is missing, adding to the tension in this ambitious narrative backdrop.

Plastic Beach stands as one of Gorillaz’s most expansive and innovative works, merging genre-defying music with a richly layered fictional universe. The album marks the first time Mick Jones and Paul Simonon have played together since The Clash, further cementing its significance in modern music.
